What made him special for Karabük Province was his investments. Hasan Doğan, who offered job opportunities to many residents of Karabük with the factories he set up in our city, was also a sports person who had been a sports manager in various sports organizations for many years.
He was a Board Member of Boxing Federation and Congress Member of Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club. He was elected as the 37th TFF President at the General Assembly of the Turkish Football Federation held on February 14, 2008. Doğan, who served as the President for 143 days, passed away on July 5, 2008 as a result of a heart attack in Bodrum district of Muğla.
The memory of Hasan Doğan, whose name was given to many sports facilities in our country, especially in our city Karabük, is proudly kept alive by our university. Our School was founded in 2010 by the name “Hasan Doğan School of Physical Education and Sports” on the suggestion of Founding Rector of Karabuk University Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Uysal.
We are doing our best for the development of our country. As the family of Hasan Doğan School of Physical Education and Sport, we will always protect the memory of him and the sports legacy he left behind.
